Garden Bed

This is the first time I am growing broccoli and I wasn't sure when to harvest it. I learned that the heads start separating/flowering when they get too much sun or I don't harvest them soon enough. I think I planted them too late.

The cauliflower is not growing as fast as the broccoli.

I started a new garden bed. I am going to try and grow watermelon and cantaloupe vertically.

The tomato plants are growing good. I am trying a different staking technique. Instead of staking each plant I put up two poles on the side and wrapped some clothes line around to support the plants from falling forward or back. I have some chicken wire boxes on top of the yellow squash and zucchini in case the squirrel decides to attack again. So far, the squirrel repellent has been working.

April Garden Bed

The snap peas are doing great, more than I can eat.

The cauliflower is growing good and the eggplants are still getting started.

The chives are growing and the bell peppers too.

In the background, you can see that I built another garden box. I am going to plant raspberries and blackberries in it.

Attacked my garden

Something attacked my garden during the night or early morning. It even attacked the trees in my yard. I suspect it is a squirrel that has setup a next in one of our trees. I immediately ordered some squirrel repellent to sprinkle around the perimeter of my garden. The squirrel has already had babies so I will leave it alone until the the babies are grown up.
